Weekend in New York
...so I had an awesome weekend. How about you? :)
I arrived in New York on Friday night after circling New Jersey in a holding pattern for an hour 'coz of some stupid random haze covering the east coast. As soon as I got to Steve's place we hit up the turkish restaurant around the corner and had really good kebabs, calamari and mixed grill. Afterwards we met up with his friend, Alex and proceeded to down several pints of beer before doing the obligatory MacDonalds run at 2.30 in the morning.
Let me tell you - it's hot as balls right now in NYC. We're talking 35oC (105oF) and humid as all crap. Saturday started off with the gym, followed by watching 'The Dukes of Hazzard' (surprisingly funnier than I thought it would be). Saturday night was an all out fun-fest of good food, great friends and karaoke madness. I would write all about it but Riss' blog pretty much sums it all up.
Sunday was all about NYC experiencing monsoon-like weather. We're talking really REALLY hot with rain bucketing down like The Day After Tomorrow. Sunday night Mikey rolled into town and we proceeded to hit up several gay bars - XL Lounge, The Gym and gLounge. Afterwards we decided to go to White Castle for the obligatory 20 burger meal but our meal was cut short when Mikey decided to purge everything he had drank (a whole five vodka tonics!) on the corner of 8th Avenue and 31st Street. Aaahhh I missed you Mikey!
...so to all who made this weekend so much fun, thanks! You make New York the number 2 city in my book. Woot!
